Japanese yuzu has a flavour that is tart and fragrant, similar to that of the grapefruit, with hints of mandarin orange. The yuzu zest is commonly used to garnish dishes in Japanese cuisine and its juice used as a seasoning like lemon juice.
We blend the yuzu and its juice into slightly salted cultured butter to create a fresh and tart flavour. The butter is excellent in both sweet and savoury dishes, or you could simply have the butter on a slice of fresh bread.
